Veltron OS v0.3.0-alpha
September 7th was a two-release day for SkyUI — v0.2.0-alpha in the morning, v0.3.0-alpha in the evening. This second release moves the project from "the basic dashboard works" to "every major module has its own dedicated screen."
Music Studio
The Media card has grown into a full-fledged screen split into three sections: a library and queue panel, a "now playing" hero stage in the center, and a navigation card that stays anchored in its exact dashboard position for driver safety — even when music takes the spotlight, the route never disappears from view.
Also added:
- Seamless switching between Veltron Sounds, Spotify, Radio DAB+, and Bluetooth sources
- A rotating vinyl record synchronized to play/pause state
- A 24-band audio spectrum that reacts to playback in real time
- Sound stage presets: Meridian 3D, Driver Focus, All Seats
- Format display (FLAC 96kHz/24-bit) and a full set of transport controls
Phone & Communications
The Phone card now expands into a dedicated communications station — a 350ms cubic expansion, a contact directory with filters (All/Favorites/Recents/Missed), and a 12-key DTMF dialer for direct number entry. A smartphone silhouette shows the connected device's status (Bluetooth 5.3, 5G, battery level).
Navigation
The upgraded HUD now includes a speed limit sign next to the vehicle's current speed, quick destination category shortcuts (Supercharger, Coffee, Parking, Saved), map viewport controls (2D/3D tilt, zoom, layer switching), and a choice between the fastest and eco routes.
Under the Hood
The sidebar got an animated sliding selection indicator, and HomeScreen now coordinates three independent overlays simultaneously — Navigation, Phone, and Media can each expand without interfering with or fading out the others.
